Neena Boyle Headshot - Philly based actor - musical theatre - actor - singer

Born and raised in Baltimore, I’ve been head-over-heels in love with musicals for as long as I can remember. I grew up watching all the classic movie musicals on double VHS, and singing along to every Broadway LP I could get my hands on.

Photos, videos & reviews…oh my!

  • "Good God, this actor is hilarious. Between her over-the-top character work and stunning vocals, she stole every scene she was in. [...] Boyle is the kind of actor that you seek out regardless of show."

-Evan Harris, South Jersey Theatre Critics, for The Toxic Avenger

  • "Neena Boyle had no problem stealing the show. Her musical numbers were beautifully delivered along with lending such a bubbly and occasionally irreverent tone to the character that you couldn't help but smile whenever she was on stage.”

-Nick Belial, Google Reviews, for The Sound of Music

  • “... Boyle is effervescent, a bubbly glue that holds the women together as she primps and teases their hair.”

-Holly Quinn, Delaware Online, for Steel Magnolias

  • “Christopher’s mother, Judy (beautifully portrayed by Neena Boyle) is a challenge…The narrative could easily read as unlikeable and self-centered, but Boyle’s depth and nuance help the audience understand the often navigated reality of parents not having all of the answers and resources we wish we could. There were times I empathized with her more than anyone else, and given the context that’s no easy feat.”

-Brian Herrick, South Jersey Theatre Critics, for The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

  • “Neena Boyle’s Truvy is strong yet sensitive, outspoken and loyal.”

-Christina Perryman, Daily Local News, for Steel Magnolias

  • “Neena Boyle turns in an outstanding characterization of Mina that is equal parts strong, intelligent, and loyal to her friends… conflicted and reticent about revealing the secrets of her past, and sexualized by Dracula’s blood lust.”

-Deb Miller, DC Theater Arts, for Dracula; a gothic mystery
